Global India Series: UK Real Estate for Global Indian Families

Join us for the final session of our 3 part Global India Series which focuses on NRI or international, Indian origin families with family members around the world along with assets and investments. The third topic will look at UK property as part of an asset allocation and how it fits into a portfolio of investments. We will hear from Barclays on the global macro picture and financing considerations.

The session will be moderated by:

Yuvendra Hora - Head of Global Indian, Middle East, Barclays Private Bank, Dubai. Yuvendra is the Head of Barclays Private Bank's Global Indian business for the Middle East. Yuvendra joined Barclays in January 2016 and has over 23 years of experience, having previously been the Head of Barclays Private Bank in Zurich and head of Barclays' Swiss NRI business. Prior to this he held senior positions in top class financial institutions where he earned a multitude of awards and gained experience in dealing with ultra-high net worth clients.

Yuvendra's expertise is particularly inclined towards Global Indian clients, focused on ultra-high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs.

Yuvendra holds an MBA Degree (cum laude) from Business School Lausanne. He currently resides in Dubai with his family.

Tom Bill - Head of UK Residential Research, Knight Frank, London. Tom writes Knight Frank's industry-leading Prime Central London sales and rental reports. He oversees all research on UK property markets, including the Country house market and Scotland.

The research is widely picked up in the British and international media. Tom is a regular media contributor on topics that range from the performance of individual markets to the impact of global political and macroeconomic events on London and UK property markets.

He has contributed to Knight Frank's Wealth Report, Global Cities and Active Capital reports. He also produces regular updates on topical issues including Covid-19, Brexit, UK politics, financial markets and property taxes, which receive widespread media coverage.

Before joining Knight Frank, Tom was a property journalist for seven years, writing about residential and commercial markets in numerous countries. In his last role, he was responsible for the property coverage in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Reuters.

Camilla Dell - Managing Partner, Black Brick Property Solutions, London. Camilla is Managing Partner and founder of Black Brick Property Solutions LLP and has worked in the London property market since 2002. She is highly experienced in meeting the needs of demanding domestic and international property buyers.

During her career to date, Camilla worked for two of London's largest and most successful estate agencies, Foxtons and Knight Frank, before setting up Black Brick in January 2007. Since then, Camilla has grown the firm from a two person start-up to London's largest independent buying consultancy. The Black Brick team collectively boasts over 100 years' experience in the London property market and has successfully sourced and acquired in excess of £1 billion of residential property for private clients.

Camilla was voted in the Telegraph's Property Power List as one of the top 25 most influential people in British property, won Spear's 2013 Property Adviser of the Year award and was voted as one of London's top 10 buying agents in Spears 2021 Property Advisor Index. The firm is regularly included in the Spears 500, an essential guide for high net worth clients, has consistently ranked in the top 5 most influential, successful & connected prime residential property acquisition specialists in Britain by PrimeResi and is regularly ranked in Chambers High Net Worth Guide.

Ben Pocock, Head of UK Debt Structuring Team, Barclays Private Bank, London. Ben joined Barclays in 2018 as Senior Debt Structurer (Commercial Real Estate Finance Lead) and now also Heads the Private Bank's UK Debt Structuring Team.

Prior to Barclays, Ben was at NatWest Markets where he held senior positions within Capital Resolution, Global Restructuring and Investment Banking - all with a focus on Commercial Real Estate Finance.

Ben has an economics degree from Cardiff University and is also a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Stephen Moroukian - Head of Product and Proposition, Barclays Private Bank, London. Stephen is currently the Head of Product and Proposition for Barclays Private Bank's real estate offering and joined the bank in 2006.

Over the last 14 years Stephen has specialised in helping clients achieve their real estate ambitions chiefly in the Prime and Super Prime residential market covering the UK, South of France and Crown Dependencies.

Shamonie Barman Director, Barclays Private Bank, London. Shamonie joined Barclays Private Bank in 2010. Shamonie has more than 10 years of experience providing private banking solutions to Ultra High Net Worth Global Indian Families across UK, India, Middle-East & Asia. She looks after some of the wealthiest families in these regions.

Shamonie is a graduate from Warwick Business School and obtained a Masters Degree from The London School of Economics. She is also a CFA Charterholder. Shamonie grew up in India where her family is based. She is fluent in English, Hindi and basic in Gujarati.
