PCD Club to host Cyber Threats seminar 17th November

Private client industry professionals will meet next week at a breakfast seminar hosted by Private Client Dining (PCD) Club and advisors PwC, to discuss how cyber threats are impacting high net worth families and high profile clients.

The event will take place at PwC’s London office at 1 Embankment Place on November 16, 2017. The seminar is expected to attract interest from a wide range of professionals advising wealthy private clients, due to recent high-profile data leaks and tax authorities and international governments demanding more transparency on clients’ global wealth and assets.

The panel discussion will be facilitated by Natalie Martin of PwC and will feature Matt Timmons, a PwC expert on corporate governance, Alan Morgan of Portland Communications and Michael Patrick, Partner at Farrers. Dipan Shah, Private Business Leader, PwC will also participate.

David Bell, founder of PCD Club, said: “The Beckham leak of emails and private data shows how vulnerable private offices are to attack. The panel will discuss measures advisors should take to ensure their clients are protected.”

PwC’s Natalie Martin, added: “Over 70% of business leaders tell us that cybersecurity is one of the greatest threats they face. Cyber breaches can have a huge impact on a company’s operations, financial results, people, reputation and your most valuable asset – trust. In our digital world, you’re managing vastly increasing amounts of information and that information needs to be protected. Getting information security right has never been more important.”
