Meet the PCD Club Team: Amy Rea

Where are you from?

I am from a small town called Lewes, East Sussex

You've recently joined Team PCD as Marketing Manager; what's been 1) most enjoyable and 2) most challenging so far?

I've really enjoyed all of it thus far, definitely enjoyed meeting the team even if some of them have just been via Zoom! It's been great to get stuck in and see all the good work PCD does and will be doing going forward. I really enjoy a challenge so there's not anything that pops out to me at the moment. How will you be supporting members in the coming months? I will be ensuring that a maximum impact for our members will be shared on social media; looking at ways to help them get the most out of their membership, and efficient and beneficial ways to move into a hybrid PCD (live and digital events).

Why do you do what you do?

I am naturally creatively minded and a real people person, it was those key things that diverted a career change from retail banking. I love what I do, I find it so exciting to think of different ways to take the business forward.

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

Hmm tricky one, not sure, maybe like a charity or something where I visit those that it helps or help build something in a deprived area.

Best vacation you've been on?

Taking my daughter to California a few years ago to stay with family and take her to Disney was amazing. Her little face when seeing Toy Story characters was priceless. But also a holiday to Cyprus where my friends got married was really good as well!

Everything happens for a reason, either a blessing or a lesson
