What do you do for Abacus Trust Group/Moores Rowland?

I work as an International Legal Consultant in the Legal and Corporate department of Moores Rowland in Monaco. I joined the company in 2015 after qualifying as an attorney-at-law in New York State and solicitor in England & Wales.

What do you love most about your role?

Being able to bringmy overseas experience and qualifications to good use in my very hometown. I had always dreamt of learning as much as possible abroad in order to return to Monaco with additional knowledge and experience. This is very much welcome by our clients as they feel that as a local I am able to assist them with their personal and business affairs both in Monaco and abroad, whilst having a real understanding the Monegasque peculiarities.

What has been your greatest achievement?

Being asked to lecture the course of Wealth Management Planning to final year bachelor students at the International University of Monaco.

How has your business adapted in light of COVID-19?

We shifted to remote working from the start of lockdown. Whilst it was completely new to us, I was delighted to see how we have all adapted smoothly and fairly quickly. With the immense help of the technology team in Monaco and across the group, it was pretty much 'business as usual' within a day or so - with the obvious exception of not being able to hold face to face meetings during the lockdown period. This pandemic has surely accelerated a technological revolution across a number of businesses.

Why did you join PCD?

I enjoy the variety of networking opportunities with international private client professionals worldwide. Monaco can feel a bit small and especially in this current climate where business travel is severely restricted, I believe it is key to exchange and keep up to date with other professionals working in the industry.

Have you attended a PCD webinar? What did you think?

Yes I have and I found them very informative and engaging. Whilst I enjoyed virtual meetings, I still look forward to attending seminars and meeting other professionals once it becomes feasible. I believe a mixture of both seminars and webinars would be ideal.
