Join us for the latest discussion from our UK & EU Series, sponsored by Strela.

The world of reputation management for HNW families has moved at a rapid pace with the rise of social media and technology used as part of personal or business affairs. This change is creating new challenges and risks for wealthy clients to consider and manage.

Join us with an expert panel to discuss the latest trends and considerations that all private wealth advisors should be aware of.

We are delighted to be joined by:

Jessica Miller - Founder & Director, Strela Advisory, London. Jessica is the founder and director of Strela Advisory limited, a boutique investigations firm founded in 2017. Strela Advisory's purpose is to provide goal-orientated, bespoke investigations and intelligence to resolve clients' complex commercial and personal legal, reputational, and sometimes familial, problems.

The firm has three core practice areas: (i) asset tracing and recovery; (ii) dispute support; and (iii) private client, which focuses on using investigations to address and remedy more personal concerns for principals or their family offices, such as family disputes, asset protection, or reputational issues.

As a Russian-speaker, and spending considerable time in the CIS, Jessica has particular expertise in working with CIS clients, either still in the region or with a presence in the UK/Western Europe. She also works frequently with clients from the Middle East, particularly (U)HNWI from the GCC countries, and their advisors. During the course of her career, she has spent time working in London, Moscow, Dubai, and Italy.

Jessica has an MA Hons in Russian and Italian, and an M.Litt. in Middle East and Central Asian Security Studies (with Uzbek Language), both received from the University of St Andrews. Further to English and Russian, Jessica speaks Italian, Spanish and French. She is currently studying Arabic.

Kate Bright - Founder & CEO, UMBRA International Group, , London. Kate was appointed as a non-executive director of the SIA in February 2020.

Kate has worked in and with private security for 20 years. She is trained in close protection and worked as a Chief of Staff to international wealthy families in London from 2000 to 2015. She then set up the award-winning, security-focused recruitment and concierge firm UMBRA International Group. She was shortlisted as Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year in the Citywealth awards in 2019, and was asked to give a Tedx talk in 2018 on the topic of 'Invisible Security'.

Kate is a member of the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals and a Trustee of their Charitable Trust, as well as a member of the Security Institute and RUSI. She is a Companion of the Institute of Leadership & Management and sits on the British Army Gender Advisory Council, under the guidance of the Army's Gender Champion, Commander Field Army Lieutenant General Ivan Jones CB. She is a Freeman of the City of London.

Polly Wilkins - Partner, Kobre & Kim, London. Polly focuses her practice on representing ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families in both international civil and criminal disputes and investigations involving allegations of fraud and misconduct. She has extensive experience working with international private clients and their advisors to develop cross-border litigation and reputation management strategies aimed at mitigating business and reputational risks involving their global business interests, including in Cyprus and across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, key offshore financial jurisdictions (including the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands) and the Americas.

Ms. Wilkins has been recognized by leading industry organizations and publications such as Private Client Global Elite, Spear's (Reputation Management Index) and was Citywealth's '2020 Lawyer of the Year - Partner' at their Future Leader Awards. She is recommended for her experience in "[helping] businesses and successful individuals to understand and deal with the reputational and privacy issues that have the potential to put them in the spotlight," particularly in matters arising from high-profile cross-border investigations, complex civil and commercial litigation, white-collar crime, asset forfeiture defense and the publication of INTERPOL Red Notices. All of Ms. Wilkins' engagements have an international element and span several jurisdictions and legal systems.

She is particularly accustomed to coordinating legal strategy and working closely with a range of stakeholders including crisis communications and public relations firms, investigators, private family offices and transactional wealth advisors to formulate holistic strategies to preserve reputation and mitigate privacy concerns, as well as defend assets and liberty when clients are engaged in litigation or are the subject of an investigation.

Before joining Kobre & Kim, Ms. Wilkins practiced at Schillings and Squire Patton Boggs.

Beatrice Giribaldi - Partner, Digitalis, London. Beatrice is a digital risk and reputation management consultant, with extensive experience working in different geographies.

At Digitalis, she advises a range of public and private companies, as well as UHNWIs and governments, on risk and vulnerabilities originating online. As part of the international client team she also supports the company's business development activities in Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining Digitalis, she worked at strategic communications consultancy Lansons, where her portfolio included asset managers, international banks and private equity firms.

Beatrice is fluent in English, French and Italian. Beatrice was named in Spear's 500 Reputation Management 'Rising Stars'.
