#NewContacts #NewIdeas #NewBusiness
Making new connections is at the heart of everything we do here at PCD and is the focus of the Friday show.
In this format, we speak to 6 members below from different sectors and locations, interspersed with member networking in small groups of 3-4 people using Breakout Rooms.
This month we feature:
Emma Nash - Family Law Partner, Fletcher Day, London. Emma has been practising family law since she qualified in 2011. Her practice covers all areas of family law but she has developed particular expertise in matters with an international element. In addition to international cases, Emma has worked extensively on complex financial disputes, private children cases, and cases involving trust assets, allegations of domestic abuse, paternity disputes and paternity fraud.
Emma has Higher Rights of Audience and is able to offer a comprehensive service to clients including representation at Court if necessary and has appeared at County Court and High Court levels.
Emma is also passionate about the development of family law and has contributed articles to the Family Law Journal, the International Family Law Journal and multiple online platforms. Emma writes her own blog 'Emma's Family Law Blog' to encourage debate on important issues and has spoken on Sky News and BBC Radio 4 as a family law expert. She has twice been shortlisted for Family Law Commentator of the Year.

Roderick Balfour - Global Fiduciary Consultant, President, Equiom Trust (South Dakota) LLC, London. Roderick has been steeped in the trust business for 30 years having started with a global mandate at a leading investment bank. This educated him at an evolutionary stage in the world of wealth planning about all the different cultural and fiscal considerations in setting up succession and asset protection structures. In particular he foresaw the widening dichotomy between the approach of the USA versus the OECD and this led him to co-found Equiom's South Dakota trust business many years ahead of others.
Roderick came into the trust business from a varied investment background including private client and bond and derivative trading. This experience has been invaluable in working with beneficiaries on their investment strategy and screening the providers.
