In the session, we will discuss interest in UK real estate from Asian investment, both into residential and commercial sectors. We will consider the latest sales numbers, legal & finance aspects. The discussion will be moderated by Martin Hill featuring:

Martin Hill - Director, Barclays Private Bank, London. Martin joined Barclays Private Bank in 2017 as a Director having spent nearly 13 years with HSBC. He is based in London and has a focus on UHNW clients in Asia. He has experience in a variety of Private Banking and Wealth Management roles in Asia, Africa and the UK.

Leona Ahmed - Partner & Head of London, Addleshaw Goddard LLP, London. Leona heads Addleshaw Goddard's London Office and is a real estate specialist. She remains a fully transactional partner with a focus on in bound capital investing in UK and European real estate. She and her team have acted on some of the highest profiles and some of the most significant investment and development deals.

Leona has considerable experience across key sectors (Offices, logistics, student and hotels) and works with clients Sovereign funds, UHNW's family offices and investment platforms from across Asia and the GCC. She also has a significant UK client base making her one of the most recognised real estate lawyers in the market.

Charles Penny - Partner & Global Wealth Ambassador (Hong Kong), Private Office, Knight Frank, London. Partner Charles is a leading authority in the London prime and super-prime residential market. As a member of the Private Office, Knight Frank's fully-integrated residential and commercial real estate advisory team, Charles focusses on both the acquisition and sale of real estate on behalf of high net worth individuals and their families.

Over the past 5 years Charles has been heavily focussed on facilitating outbound investment from Hong Kong, as part of a larger global ambassador team at Knight Frank.

Ben Pocock, Head of UK Debt Structuring Team, Barclays Private Bank, London. Ben joined Barclays in 2018 as Senior Debt Structurer (Commercial Real Estate Finance Lead) and now also Heads the Private Bank's UK Debt Structuring Team.

Prior to Barclays, Ben was at NatWest Markets where he held senior positions within Capital Resolution, Global Restructuring and Investment Banking - all with a focus on Commercial Real Estate Finance.

Ben has an economics degree from Cardiff University and is also a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
