Douglas Barnett - Douglas joined Waverton in April 2016 as an analyst based in Asia for the Waverton Asia Pacific Fund and the Southeast Asian Fund following the acquisition of 2CG Senhouse by Waverton. In October 2018, Douglas returned to London to run global equity mandates for private clients. Prior to joining 2CG Senhouse held positions at Deutsche Bank and De Putron Fund Management. He graduated with a Chemistry degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2009, is Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), holds the Investment Management Certificate and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Designation (CAIA).
Mala Kapacee is a Chartered Tax Adviser and Director of London Tax Network Ltd, a specialist tax investigations consultancy. Her experience includes resolving tax enquiries, CoP8 and 9 Investigations as well as disclosures for a range of taxes and situations; self-employment, property, owner managed businesses and non-UK domiciled individuals. She is a well-known tax author, having had several articles published by Taxation Magazine, International Tax Review, Bloomberg Tax, Bloomsbury Professional and Tax Adviser.
Mala founded the London Tax Society in 2017 and actively encourages networking and technical development for young professionals. Mala lectures regularly and this year has spoken at the CIOT Indirect Taxes Conference on VAT Investigations and at the CIMA on IR35 and on Handling HMRC Investigations. Later in the year, Mala will present at the CIMA conference in October. Mala was recently a finalist in the "Best Rising Star in Tax" category as part of Tolleys Taxation Awards 2020. The Awards are known for identifying excellence in tax. Being shortlisted for the award demonstrates Mala's commitment to the tax profession as well as her technical excellence as supported by testimonials from clients and other tax experts.
Stephen Camm - Owner, Camm Consulting, London. Having spent his working life in tax, Stephen retired from PwC in July 2020, after 17 years as a partner. Whilst his core expertise has always been tax dispute resolution, he has had many varied roles at PwC, including managing their London Tax business, setting up a joint venture with PwC Switzerland and buying an IT company. Stephen has mentored and coached many people along the way, helping them work out how to realise their potential. With this extensive experience and thousands of contacts, Stephen has started Camm Consulting, a coaching, recruitment and headhunting business in which he personally helps match talented people to the right position.
