Geetha Tharmaratnam - CEO & Founding Partner, Aequalitas Capital Partners, UK. Geetha Tharmaratnam is an investment executive with 19+ years of experience in Private Equity, venture capital, development finance, impact investing and insurance in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. Geetha is the CEO of Aequalitas Capital Partners and leads the Impact Investment practice. She advises Investors, intermediaries, international development actors and companies interested in creating and implementing impact investment and Sustainable Development Goals related financing products.
Damian Payiatakis - Head of Sustainable & Impact Investing, Barclays. Damian leads Barclays efforts to guide individuals, families, and charities on how to invest both to protect and grow their assets and to make a positive contribution to our world. For families and family offices, this includes advising on how to start investing their portfolios sustainably; as well as facilitating the challenging conversations that address the family dynamics on legacy, values, and decision-making. His team advises the firm's private and public market specialists on how to incorporate ethical, responsible and impact approaches into their products, portfolios, and services. As well, they have published original thought leadership on scaling social businesses, investor motivations for impact, and impact reporting.
Urvi Shah - Senior Investment Advisor, Barclays Private Bank. Urvi was born and brought up in Nairobi and moved to London in 2005 with her family. She graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a BSc in Management in 2008 and joined the Barclays Wealth graduate program later that year. Urvi completed the program and was promoted to Private Banker 2011, focusing on the East Africa and Global South Asia markets. She continued in this role for 6 years before deciding to pursue her interest in markets, investment solutions and portfolio management wholly, moving to UBS Wealth Management in London as an Investment Advisor in 2015. In September 2018, Urvi re-joined Barclays as a Senior Investment Advisor with the Private Bank, continuing her focus on clients based in Africa.
