The webinar will use a case study of a family with US & UK connections to discuss all the relevant tax, legal, wealth structuring and investment management considerations. We are delighted to welcome an expert panel:

Matthew Sperry, Partner at Katten in New York and Chicago - Matthew Sperry is an international private client attorney whose practice is devoted to making it easier for global ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families to access the United States, whether it be for investment, spending time in the US or utilizing US trust and other structures to advance personal goals or otherwise. He believes in using state-of-the-art trust, corporate, family office, fund and other US legal concepts to develop simple but effective wealth succession and family governance structures that minimize global tax and reporting burdens, foster privacy, protect personal wealth and advance family harmony, leaving his clients to focus on enjoying their hard earned wealth. Matthew is recognized by Chambers High Net Worth Guide as a leading individual and is a member of Legal Week's Private Client Global Elite. His client base includes individuals and families in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Canada.

Emma White, Partner at Forsters in London - Emma is a Partner in Forsters Private Client team. She advises both UK and international individuals in relation to a broad range of personal taxation and estate planning matters. Emma has extensive experience of advising on complex cross-border estate planning matters concerning high net worth families. She also advises clients on the creation and use of trusts as a means of succession planning and preserving family wealth, including advising non-UK domiciled clients on the creation of excluded property trusts to shelter assets from UK inheritance tax. Her work for international clients includes providing advice in relation to the UK rules on residence and domicile, and the remittance basis of taxation. She also advises clients on the tax implications of acquiring UK property and the structuring options available. Emma has particular experience in tax and estate planning for clients with US connections, and she is widely regarded as a specialist in this field.

Paul Nixon, CEO at LGT Vestra US in London - Paul is the CEO at LGT Vestra US and Partner at LGT Vestra, responsible for establishing and building the LGT Vestra US business since 2012.
