Our second panel event of the year is kindly sponsored & hosted by Lexis Nexis. The topic for discussion is 'Wealthy families in dispute: implications for professional advisors & trustees'. It will attract an audience of PCD members from on & offshore legal firms, trustees and wealth planners who advise HNW clients.

The panel of experts discussing the topic are James Price of Stewarts Law, Steven Kempster of Withers, Nicholas Holland of McDermott Will & Emery, David O'Hanlon of Collas Crill. Ken Chapman from Bank of Singapore will return as Chairman. Topics covered through the discussion will include:

  • Case study disputes: panelists will share recent examples a private wealth dispute, commenting on high profile cases of Crociani & Pugachev.
  • How to avoid disputes arising: panelists will discuss what trustees and professional advisors could do to avoid such disputes
  • Guidelines for professionals in a dispute: how trustees & other professionals should behave during such disputes in terms of dealing with disclosure requests.
  • Lessons from key cases: general discussion, including insights from Dawson-Damer v Taylor Wessing on GDPR obligations.
